Smith, Party of 6

About

hi, friend!

Welcome to Smith, Party of 6.

We’re the Smith’s, a family of 6 from a small town in West Virginia.

Our Family | Smith, Party of 6

And I’m Audriana, the stay-at-home mom of those four wild and amazing little humans (and the incredibly blessed wife of that handsome man).

My heart always comes back to one thing: Life at home.

I’m reminded of that old sentiment about home being where the heart is. And while we’ve all heard it enough for it to become more than cliche, it’s oh so true for our family. Not because we’re some super family. We’re not. Not because our Instagram is super dreamy or because life is picture perfect. It’s not.

But because life centered around togetherness is what we’ve chosen.

Can we talk about the popularity of the whole “hot mess mom” thing? My honest and unpopular opinion? … we’re defeating ourselves. I’ve been known to label myself that way. But as soon as we become resigned to the attitude that says, “oh well, I’m just a hot mess mom,” we’ve sold ourselves short. Are there days when I’m a hot mess? Yepp, with extra sprinkles. BUT are there also days when I’m on point and rocking this role I’ve been blessed with? YES! So why define myself by the one that makes me feel less than? Why choose to settle for the one that says I’m just “not good at this”? No. I won’t. I’m not a hot mess mom. I’m a mom who rocks the socks off of what I do and has some off days. But I’m learning. I’m growing. And I’m getting better. Just like you 💜 Our children were given to US for a reason. Let’s give ourselves room to grow instead of smothering our potential with negativity and self-defeat. #rockstarmoms #withextrasprinkles #bornforthis #momlife #momsofinstagram #smithpartyof6

Let’s be real: family life doesn’t always resonate with perfect harmony. We’re all different. Our own purposes. Our own ideas. Our own stumbling blocks. But in the midst of the frustrations, tantrums, tears, and sibling throw-downs, love blooms.

Family is forged.
Lessons are learned.
Life is lived.

And we want to share it with you.

Our Family

Here, I’ll share our homeschooling journey (what works, what doesn’t, curriculum reviews, fun lessons, etc.) as well as content about motherhood and simplifying family life.

Full disclosure: God is the anchor and center of everything that we do. While this blog isn’t a space specifically for faith-based content, our lives are still very much centered around our Messiah, meaning God’s word and His will define how we operate. Because of that, the viewpoints I share will have a Biblical foundation. It’s just who we are! And I pray that our lives can be a witness to the God we love and serve.

Like what you see? Stick around for a bit!

xoxo,

Audriana
